What can we expect?

Football Manager 2026 will almost certainly be released in November 2025, as part of the usual autumn release cycle. There’s no official date yet, but everything is pointing toward that timeframe. We can expect an announcement or teaser via the official Sports Interactive channels soon.

Why November 2025?

• Tradition: Most FM games have launched in early November.

• Strategic decision: FM25 was meant to be released before March 2025, but that deadline wasn't met. Instead of rushing it, they scrapped FM25 to give FM26 more development time.

• Internal planning: SEGA confirmed via investor communication that FM26 is scheduled before the end of 2025.

What Facepack can I use in FM2026?

• Download the DF11 Megapack 2025 and add the available DF11 Update files for the 2025-26 season. These new files will replace the old files in your Megapack 2025. Once you have completed this, you will see the most recent faces for the 2025/26 season appear in FM2026!
  

Unity Engine & Visual Overhaul

• The move to the Unity engine marks one of the biggest changes in the series’ history. This new foundation allows for more realistic animations, smoother movement, and more detailed stadiums. Fans can expect a significantly more immersive and dynamic visual experience.

  
  

Revamped Interface

• The traditional inbox is being replaced with a modern, “portal-style” interface using tiles. This provides quick access to news, team information, and club management, offering the convenience of a smartphone app.

Women’s Football

• After years of preparation, women’s football is finally being included in FM26. Expect thousands of female players, staff, and teams in the database. This marks a major step forward for diversity and realism in the game.

International Management Returns!

• After its absence in FM25, international management returns in FM26, available across PC, consoles, and mobile platforms. National team managers can once again build their squads and compete on the world stage.

Cross-Platform Experience

• FM26 will be playable on PC, Mac, consoles (Xbox, PlayStation, Nintendo Switch), mobile devices (iOS/Android), and cloud platforms like GeForce NOW and Amazon Luna. The mobile version is being rebuilt entirely in Unity, promising a significant upgrade.
